What is it?

“META-FORUM is the international conference series on powerful and innovative Language Technologies for the multilingual information society. It’s the place to be to learn about the most recent developments in European Language Technology industry and research including language-centric AI.”

Why are we there?

We – Peggy van-der Kreeft (Deutsche Welle) and Barry Haddow (University of Edinburgh) – are at the META-FORUM conference and also at the ELG (European Language Grid) meeting to show and discuss GoURMET technology challenges.

GoURMET is developing MT models for low-resourced languages (and domains), including Amharic, Bulgarian, Gujarati, and Turkish.
